This Triceratops supraorbital (above the eye) horn replica is an excellent example of a ‘large juvenile’ as described by Horner and Goodwin, 2006. The horn still exhibits the strong posterior curvature, typical of this growth stage. Soon after this stage, the horn begins to fill in and the apparent curvature becomes anterior.
Study this horn replica by itself, or obtain it for size comparisons between adult, juvenile, and baby.
